The popular online store Hyena Cart – with more than 1,000 active sellers, most of them "mompreneurs" who run their own online stores – has just launched an update of its Spots' Corner online store, whi women's jackets ch is designed for moms and moms-to-be who want to buy or sell quality new or used, handmade or commercially-made merchandise, such as children's clothing, cloth diapers, yarn, toys, and nursing/maternity clothing.
The revamped site attracts about 15,000 unique visitors a day. In addition, the site totals about 45,000 page loads and sales of more than 125 items a day.
Spots' Corner (http://hyenacart.com/stores/Spots_corner/) is a popular shopping location, especially for mothers of young children and expectant mothers who are looking for eco-friendly items and a large, reasonably-priced selection of quality new and used merchandise, Hyena Cart owner Karen Lee said.
"The new site design features a fresher, more modern look that's more in keeping with the overall Hyena Cart site redesign," Lee said. "We kept it fun to stay consistent with the Spots character, and added green leaves and other references to the eco-friendly nature of many of the products sold on Spots' Corner."
Shopping on Spots' Corner works like other Hyena Cart (HC) stores, allowing shoppers to make purchases by simply registering for a free HC shopping account or signing in to their existing HC shopping account.
Listing items for sale is easy, too, Lee said. Sellers may list as many items as they wish for a two-week $2.50 fee. No additional fees – such as listing or final value fees – are charged.
Most items sold on Spots' Corner are handmade, but mass-produced items are acceptable, such as quality children's clothing and commercially-made baby carriers and toys – so long as the seller does not check the "handmade" box when listing such items.
Examples of popular items on the site include Goodmama diapers, Bamboletta dolls and Dashing Dachs yarn.
"Spots' Corner is an excellent place for finding new owners for outgrown children's clothes and cloth diapers that are in excellent condition, unused or barely used toys and yarns you had good intentions of making into something beautiful," said Lee.
Regular customer Bethany Kehl Esposito of Rumney, NH, said that Spots' Corner offers "great items that women like me look for--everything from quality diapers to clothing."
"Spots' is the first place I look for that must-have item, and I love how I can search for specific things, too," she said. "It is user-friendly and easy to navigate."
